The thrilling launch coaster is the newest addition to the Jurassic World themed area in Universal's Islands of Adventure park. It is considered Florida’s fastest, tallest, and most intense launch coaster ever, according to Universal Orlando Resort.

When did the VelociCoaster open?

The Jurassic World VelociCoaster openned on June 10, 2021 as previously announced.

Where is the VelociCoaster located?

The VelociCoaster is in the Universal Studios Island of Adventure theme park in Florida. You can find it in the Jurassic World themed area in the back of the park. It's right after the Harry Potter area if you're following the main park path counterclockwise.

Using Universal's interactive map, you can easily locate the VelociCoaster and other rides in the park.

How Tall is the VeloCoaster?

The VelociCoaster is 155 feet tall, which makes it the tallest launch coaster in Florida.

How fast is the VelociCoaster?

The VelociCoaster will feature 2 launches and reach speeds of 70 mph. You can see how it feels to ride it in this official POV video.

Does the VelociCoaster go upside down?

Yes! The VelociCoaster has a 360° barrel roll over the lagoon taking gests upside down with a total of 12 seconds airtime. It includes four inversions and a steep 80-degree drop.
